Harvey Group recently held a skill build competition for its mechanical
apprentices at our head office in Glengormley. Apprentices were
required to construct a few simple pipe work circuits which tested
their ability in basic plumbing disciplines.
Their ability to
solder joints, use crimp fit joints, use push fit and make off valves
was tested. The competition was timed and apprentices had 8 hours
to complete the pipe work and pressure test the circuits.
Results on the day were: 1st Place Stephen McDowell 2nd Place Chris Clarke 3rd Place Aiden Flannigan
