Training

We count our people as our greatest asset and richest resource. Our culture is to continually develop, train and encourage all staff to provide a first class service and to go the extra mile in every aspect of our operations.

Investors in People Martin Rice reported the following in his summary findings:

"The degree of commitment and support shown by the Harvey Group to its people continues to be particularly impressive...I have no hesitation in confirming that the Harvey Group continues to meet the requirements of the IIP standard and is an ambassador for the promotion of training within the construction sector."

For many years, we have developed staff at all levels. We support our people through trade apprenticeships, bespoke technical apprenticeships, junior management positions and project management accreditation.

Quality

Harvey Group operate an Integrated Management System comprising ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS18001:2007.

We regularly audit our processes and procedures internally and invite external auditors to do the same.

For our design, installation and commissioning quality procedures, we have developed our own process manual, incorporating British Standards, BSRIA Guidelines, and other industry standards. This bespoke manual is used to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved from the outset. For BIM, we have compiled our own BIM Policy, mirroring all relevant British Standards and PAS.

The extensive sector and contract experience we have gained enables us to work closely with Main Contractors, Consultants, Clients, Specialists and Suppliers to ensure the finished product is every bit the same as the vision.

Comments from our external auditor, Richard O'Sullivan:

“The company has a very strong ethic in respect of the management and maintenance of the management system. This is generated from top management.”

"External data from BSRIA in relation to customer satisfaction would suggest that the company excels in this area also."

Safety

At Harvey Group, we take health and safety seriously. We are certified under OHSAS18001:2007 which complements our extensive list of safety accreditation including RoSPA, SafeContractor, Gas Safe, and NICEIC.

Senior Management and Safety Officers are dedicated to reporting, reviewing, implementing and maintaining the safest possible working conditions.

Our operatives and management are CSCS / CSR trained and all sites carryout toolbox talks and daily briefs as standard and are internally audited periodically. New staff undergo a company induction which focuses on our health and safety ethos and their part in it.

Comments from our external auditors, Intertek (Formerly Moody International):

"The company's health and safety performance in particular is now clearly of the very highest standard, and would be at least comparable with any 'best in class' measurement."

Comments from our external auditor, Richard O'Sullivan:

“The company has a very strong ethic in respect of the management and maintenance of the management system. This is generated from top management.”

Environment

From our 50kw photovoltaic installation, biomass boiler and rainwater harvesting system through to our cardboard bailer and recycling bins, Harvey Group are thinking about the future. Our commitment to energy reduction and environmental impact has been rewarded with ISO140001:2004 certification and a display energy certificate for operational energy performance at our offices.
